What we collect
If you join with your email, we store your email address and, if you create an account, the name you give us. For signed-in users we save your search threads so you can return to them. For visitors without an account we keep an anonymous browser ID and a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address to apply the daily free-search limit. We never store your IP address in readable form.
How we use it
To provide the service, unlock unlimited searches, email you sign-in codes and occasional product updates, and improve OpenVeils. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (pages viewed, signups); it does not receive your email address or name.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. If you tick "Share my email with [partner]" on a partner page (such as The Titan Network or Cosmic Summit), we share your email address with that partner only. Otherwise we share data only with service providers needed to run OpenVeils (hosting, email delivery, AI processing of your questions) or where required by law.
Your questions
The questions you ask are sent to an AI provider to generate answers. Please don't include personal or sensitive information in your searches.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from emails at any time, or ask us to delete your email, account and saved threads by writing to stokols@openveils.com.
Terms of Use
Use of the service
OpenVeils is an early AI research tool, offered free and as-is. Answers are generated by AI, can be wrong or incomplete, and present alternative and contested viewpoints. Always check the linked sources and use your own judgement.
No professional advice
Nothing on OpenVeils is legal, medical, financial or other professional advice.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service: no automated scraping, attempts to bypass limits, or unlawful use.
Third-party links
Sources link to third-party sites we don't control and aren't responsible for.
Changes
We may update the service, these terms and this policy. Continued use means you accept the latest version.
