Open Veils · Answer
Best alien craft picture
The Calvine image is the strongest photographic case in the modern record — suppressed for over thirty years by the UK Ministry of Defence and authenticated through paper and weather analysis. Several other contenders exist in the deeper research community that rarely surface in mainstream coverage. No single image is universally agreed upon, but Calvine, the McMinnville photos, and the Petit-Rechain triangle each carry forensic weight that separates them from the field.
Evidence
- In August 1990, two witnesses near Calvine in the Scottish Highlands photographed a silent, diamond-shaped craft hovering over the valley, flanked briefly by a low-flying military jet.
- The Adamski 'scout ship' photographs of December 1952 occupy the opposite pole: UAP Globe's case file documents how analysts identified the object measurement-by-measurement as the steel shade of a 1930s Sears pressure lantern, and witnesses to the original event walked back their testimony.
- In the South American record, Brazilian ex-military photographer Roberto Di Sena captured an anomalous object over Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, on 26 November 2006, using a Pentax Optio 60 megapixel camera without noticing anything unusual at the time.
- Richard Dolan and Leslie Kean have both pointed to the 1950 McMinnville, Oregon photographs — analysed under the Condon Committee and again by Ground Saucer Watch's digital enhancement team — as carrying the most durable forensic provenance of any pre-digital image.
- They shot six colour frames and handed the negatives to the press — the story was killed, and the images disappeared into MoD files for over three decades.
