The more productive Open Veils framing is not 'was it faked?' but 'what has been concealed about what was encountered there?' - William Tompkins, a former Naval Intelligence operative whose credentials were corroborated by Dr. Robert Wood and examined by researchers including Michael Salla, stated that Apollo astronauts encountered large structured craft on the lunar surface and were essentially warned off by non-human intelligences.
- Former Sgt. Karl Wolfe, who testified at Steven Greer's 2001 National Press Club Disclosure Project event under penalty of perjury, stated he was shown NASA Langley photographs revealing artificial structures on the far side of the Moon — base-like formations he described as unmistakable.
- Richard Dolan, in his work on the secret space program, notes that NASA's own archival footage contains anomalous objects in lunar orbit that were never explained in mission debriefs.
