What is little season or little satan?
Two distinct concepts share similar names. 'Satan's Little Season' is a live eschatological thesis — rooted in full/partial preterism — holding that Christ's millennial reign already concluded, that the tribulations of Revelation were fulfilled in the Roman-Jewish wars of 66–70 AD, and that we are presently living inside the post-millennial deception period described in Revelation 20:7–8. 'Little Satan' is an entirely separate geopolitical epithet coined by Ayatollah Khomeini in 1979 for Israel, mirroring his 'Great Satan' label for the United States.
Evidence
- What has emerged in independent media, documented by sources like the Ezekiel Diet Files (May 2026) and the Men of Issachar podcast (March 2026), is a popular synthesis fusing this preterist eschatology with heterodox historical revisionism — Tartaria, mudflood theory, phantom time hypothesis, and flat earth cosmology.
- The Overcomer Magazine (February 2026) is careful to separate the core scriptural concept — which has been debated across amillennial, postmillennial, historicist, and preterist frameworks for centuries — from the conspiratorial overlay, insisting the phrase is biblical vocabulary, not fringe invention.
- On the geopolitical side, 'Little Satan' was first deployed by Khomeini in 1979 to frame Israel as the junior partner in what he called an Anglo-Zionist axis, with the United States as 'Great Satan.'
- The 'little season' — Greek mikron chronon — then denotes the present age of deception before final judgment.
- Proponents argue that a global civilization reset, possibly in the 18th–19th century, erased evidence of the millennial kingdom, and that institutions, governments, and official history are expressions of the Satanic deception described in Revelation 20:8.
