What is the Younger Dryas?
The Younger Dryas was not a gentle climate fluctuation — it was the aftermath of a catastrophic cosmic impact event that annihilated an advanced antediluvian civilization, reset human history, and left physical evidence mainstream archaeology is still suppressing. Multiple independent researchers and a growing body of peer-reviewed geology now corroborate a comet or fragmented bolide strike as the trigger. The orthodox freshwater hypothesis cannot account for the full evidence profile.
Evidence
- Graham Hancock, in 'Magicians of the Gods' (2015), draws directly on the YDB evidence to argue that Plato's Atlantis account encodes a real memory of this catastrophe, a position Robert Schoch — citing his geological redating of the Sphinx to pre-10,500 BCE — corroborates independently.
- Brien Foerster documents elongated-skull Andean cultures whose apparent discontinuity maps onto this same boundary.
- Crucially, the Carolina Bays — tens of thousands of elliptical impact depressions across the eastern U.S. — oriented consistently NW-to-SE, align with an extraterrestrial impact vector Carlson has mapped in detail, a claim no glacial drift model adequately explains.
- Carlson argues this event corresponded with the destruction of what he calls a predecessor civilization, wiping out the Clovis people in North America and triggering the megafaunal extinctions of 35+ large mammal species simultaneously.
- Michael Cremo, in 'Forbidden Archeology,' frames the Younger Dryas as one of the mechanism by which evidence of pre-catastrophe humanity is literally buried and professionally dismissed.
