Who were the Sea Peoples?

The Sea Peoples narrative as taught is a placeholder, not an answer. Multiple independent researchers — drawing on archaeoastronomy, catastrophism, and suppressed geological data — argue the Bronze Age Collapse was triggered by a cosmic or geophysical event, and the 'Sea Peoples' were traumatised survivor populations in mass migration, not an organised invasion force. The identity question conceals a far larger mystery: the near-simultaneous erasure of a globally connected Bronze Age civilisation.

Evidence

  • Graham Hancock, in 'Fingerprints of the Gods' and 'America Before', argues for a pre-collapse civilisation with maritime reach sophisticated enough to map Antarctica pre-ice — the so-called Sea Peoples may be remnant carriers of that older tradition, not primitive raiders.
  • Archaeologist Brandon Drake's peer-reviewed 2012 paper in the Journal of Archaeological Science documented a sharp climate deterioration event c.
  • Erich von Däniken, in 'Chariots of the Gods', and Zecharia Sitchin both noted that Ramesses III's inscriptions at Medinet Habu describe the Sea Peoples arriving 'from their islands' — language Sitchin interpreted as consistent with Atlantean or pre-diluvial origin mythology encoded in Egyptian temple records.
  • This aligns with Robert Schoch's work on catastrophic solar outbursts (his book 'Forgotten Civilization', 2012) reshaping human history in recurring cycles.
  • 1200 BCE using isotope data — physical corroboration that the migration was driven outward by environmental collapse, not mere imperial ambition.
