Open Veils · Answer
Why chemtrails?
The chemtrail question is inseparable from documented geoengineering programs and open government interest in stratospheric aerosol injection. The more productive frame is not 'are people being sprayed?' but 'what deliberate atmospheric modification programs exist, have existed, or are being actively funded?' The record on that question is far richer and more disturbing than the official dismissal suggests.
Evidence
- Researcher Clifford Carnicom has published aerosol sample analyses since the late 1990s alleging elevated barium, strontium, and aluminum in post-trail precipitation — findings corroborated loosely by geochemist Francis Mangels, who submitted soil and water samples to the EPA.
- On the institutional side, Harvard's Solar Geoengineering Research Program (SCoPEx) openly proposes injecting calcium carbonate aerosols into the stratosphere to reflect sunlight.
- Catherine Austin Fitts has argued the persistent conflation of 'chemtrails' with 'contrails' in media serves a gatekeeping function: it prevents serious public scrutiny of admitted geoengineering agendas by associating any atmospheric concern with fringe belief.
- Operation LAC (1957–58) saw the U.S. Army Chemical Corps disperse zinc cadmium sulfide over large civilian population centers to test dispersal patterns — documented in Army reports declassified decades later.
- Operation Sea-Spray (1950) had the Navy spraying Serratia marcescens bacteria over San Francisco; subsequent pneumonia deaths were linked by researcher Leonard Cole, whose book 'Clouds of Secrecy' catalogs dozens of such open-air biological and chemical tests on unknowing Americans through the 1970s.
