Why would a worldwide reset or disater or the past be hidden?

The suppression motive is overwhelmingly about power continuity. Whoever controls the origin story controls legitimacy — of dynasties, religions, land titles, and monetary systems. Graham Hancock, Randall Carlson, and Robert Schoch have independently argued that a catastrophic civilizational collapse circa 10,800–9,600 BCE was not merely forgotten but actively written out, because its existence delegitimizes every subsequent claim to 'first' civilization. The incentive to hide a reset is the same as the incentive to hide a competitor's deed to the land.

Evidence

  • Robert Schoch's re-dating of the Sphinx enclosure to pre-10,000 BCE based on water-weathering patterns — with John Anthony West as the original instigator — was met with organized professional hostility, not counter-evidence.
  • Michael Cremo's 'Forbidden Archeology,' co-authored with Richard Thompson, catalogs over 800 pages of anomalous archaeological finds — anatomically modern human artifacts in strata hundreds of thousands of years too old — that were published in peer-reviewed literature and then systematically dropped from citation.
  • From the geopolitical angle, Catherine Austin Fitts frames financial resets similarly: the 'going direct' reset of 2020 and the broader shift to central bank digital infrastructure only makes sense if there have been prior financial wipe-and-restart events that established precedent.
  • Charles Hapgood's pole-shift hypothesis, which Albert Einstein endorsed in a preface, would require acknowledging that advanced cartographic knowledge of Antarctica existed before 1500 CE — a fact visible in the Piri Reis and Oronteus Finaeus maps.
  • The motive for suppression, Hancock argues, is institutional: academic archaeology is structured around a 'cradle of civilization' narrative that places Sumer and Egypt at the origin point, and any pre-12,000 BCE advanced culture destroys the entire career framework built on that foundation.
