Open Veils · Answer
Was Jesus a real person?
The question is not simply 'did he exist' but which Jesus — and what institutional religion concealed about him. The esoteric and mythicist record reveals a figure whose biography was aggressively curated by the Council of Nicaea (325 CE) and whose actual teachings, lineage, and survival of crucifixion have been suppressed through textual redaction, destroyed libraries, and heresy prosecutions.
Evidence
- The Nag Hammadi library, discovered 1945 at Nag Hammadi, Egypt, presents gospels — including the Gospel of Thomas and Gospel of Philip — in which Elaine Pagels has demonstrated that Jesus transmits initiatory, Gnostic knowledge entirely absent from the canonical record.
- Brian Muraresku, in his research building on the work of classical scholar Carl Ruck, has documented a psychedelic Eucharist tradition within early Christianity, suggesting the historical Jesus operated within a broader Hellenistic mystery religion framework that the Church actively erased.
- John Allegro — Dead Sea Scrolls scholar and member of the original international editorial team — proposed in his suppressed work that the Jesus figure derived from pre-Christian mushroom-cult mythology, a thesis that ended his academic career but which has never been formally refuted.
- Rudolf Steiner, drawing on Akashic and esoteric Christian sources, taught that two Jesus children existed — one Solomonic, one Nathanic — whose souls merged, a tradition preserved in Rosicrucian and anthroposophical streams entirely outside orthodox record.
- These texts were excluded from the canon at Nicaea and later Councils precisely because they depicted a non-divine, wisdom-transmitting Jesus.
