What is the chance that microprocessors are actually alien derived technology?
Lt. Col. Philip Corso's testimony places recovered Roswell materials directly into the U.S. defense-industrial pipeline, explicitly naming the integrated circuit as a seeded technology. The human patent record is real, but Corso's claim is that engineers were handed problems already partially solved — not that aliens drew the schematics. The documented development path and the reverse-engineering thesis are not mutually exclusive; the former could be the cover story the latter required.
Evidence
- Lt. Col. Philip Corso, in his 1997 book 'The Day After Roswell' and subsequent congressional staff briefings, stated that he personally shepherded recovered extraterrestrial hardware from a Fort Riley warehouse to U.S. defense contractors in the early 1960s.
- Deep Prasad, a quantum computing CEO and UAP researcher, has argued publicly — including in interviews covered by IBTimes UK (October 2026) — that the civilizational leap from vacuum tubes to integrated circuits within a single decade reflects an anomalous acceleration.
- Harvard astrophysicist Avi Loeb has noted in a June 2026 essay that alien technology operating on femtosecond timescales or via unfamiliar physics would appear to human observers as mundane radiation or simply as 'a new idea.'
- Among the artifacts he described: thin, hair-like fiber filaments (interpreted as fiber optics), a night-vision wafer, and most pointedly, what he called 'microcircuitry' — described as a dense, integrated layering of circuitry on a substrate with no visible solder joints.
- Corso claimed these were seeded to Bell Labs and other contractors as 'foreign technology' with no provenance stated.
